Specifications

Batteries: All tow carts use 12 volts Deep Cycle batteries. Readily available worldwide. Also known as “Marine” , “RV” or ‘’Camping Car’’.

Most users need battery charging only once or twice a month. Batteries perform at their best for 2-3 years.

Battery charger:  Battery chargers are 115/230v. High quality battery charger monitors battery charge level.

Brakes:  V200 and V400 tow cart series are set up on free wheel mode for convenient handling. When operating on slanted surfaces, motor brakes can be set up on permanent breaking mode for safety. Larger V500 and V600 series are set up on permanent braking mode that is triggered as soon as throttle is released.

Clearance: Tow carts offer significant ground clearance to perform easy movement over hangar rails and obstacles.

Commercial grade: Tow carts designed to provide commercial grade products for long term reliability in intense use.

Controller: High quality units that provide exceptional precision and unsurpassed reliability.

Lifts : Scissor Red lifts are electric & lift turbine helicopters.  Telescopic Black electric lifts are operated by their own 300 watts motor & are designed for heavy duty applications. These also offer an additional mechanical height enhancement.

Motors : Each traction wheel has its own 300 watts motor. Each wheel is independent. Larger tow carts such as V500 & V600 series have de-rated mechanical systems that multiply traction capability. Excellent performance & reliability record.

Maintenance: Tow carts require no maintenance other than periodical monitoring of battery condition.

Environment: Operations within hangars performed in complete silence and in fume free air.

Speed:  Tow carts can be operated at a very slow speed for delicate manoeuvres into hangars, up to a brisk walking pace for long distances. The tow carts are clutch free so they initiate movement without triggering helicopter blade movement.

Wheels : All tow carts traction wheels are pneumatic. They provide excellent traction for challenging surfaces & weathers.

Batteries

Requires 2 x 12 volts deep cycle known as "marine type" or "group 24". This type of battery is readily available from local retail stores. Not included with tow cart to keep freight charges to a minimum.

Attachment devices

AT45 for AS350/355, EC120, EC130, EC145, BK117   It allows a fast set-up, adapts to all skid tube diameters and shapes and holds helicopter tightly. It comprises of a yellow central support bar, a pair of 45 degree adjustable tip bars, complete with cranking system, cups and straps.

AT120 for EC120  It allows a fast set-up. It attaches to the horizontal structural bar under the cabin. This device is very popular with EC120 owners.  It consists in a lockable clamping block.

AT47 for BK117 & EC135  It allows a fast set-up, adapts to most skid tube diameters and shapes and holds the helicopter tightly. The system is actually triple axe to match specific helicopter needs.  It comprises of the yellow central support bar, a pair of inverted 45 degree adjustable angle bars, complete with cranking system, cups and straps.
