Helitowcart specifications  

Motors:     All Helitowcart models are powered by 300 watts motors. Each traction wheel has it own motor. Each wheel is independent. The heavy duty series (V500 and V600) also have de-rated mechanical systems in addition to these motors for extra towing capability. These motors have an excellent performance and reliability record.

 

Controllers:      Each tow cart is equipped with a high quality electronic controller. These controllers provide excellent precision and smoothness of operation. They allow for intelligent traction wheel coordination. These controllers are very reliable. They have proven to be of excellent performance over time.

 

Batteries:     All Helitowcart models require 12 volts deep cycle batteries. These batteries are not included to keep freight charges to a minimum. However, when in need we are open to supplying batteries. The batteries used are readily available from battery retailers around the world. These batteries are known as Marine or RV (recreational vehicle, or camping car) batteries. Battery size required for each tow cart model is indicated in the chart below.

 

Pneumatics:     All Helitowcart models are equipped with pneumatic traction wheels. This allows for great performance on challenging terrain surfaces, hangar rails and slippery weather.

 

Braking system:     V100, V200 and V400 tow cart series are set up on free wheel mode for convenient handling. When operating on slanted surfaces, motor brakes can be set up on permanent breaking mode for safety. Larger V500 and V600 series are set up on permanent braking mode that this triggered as soon as throttle is released.

 

Ground clearance:     The Helitowcart offers significant ground clearance to perform easy movement over hangar rails an light obstacles.

 

Battery charger:     Each Helitowcart is supplied with a battery charger. All battery chargers are 115/230v. They can thus be used all over the planet. The battery chargers are supplied with either a North American cord or a European one. The battery charger used monitors battery charging at all times. It thus can be left unattended during the charging process. It is also a very reliable unit.

 

Speed:     The Helitowcart can be operated at a very slow speed for delicate manoeuvres' into hangars, up to a brisk walking pace for long distances. The tow carts are clutch free so they may initiate movement without triggering helicopter blade movement.

 

Assembly:     Tow carts are shipped pre-assembled.

 

Operator Control Panel:     The control handle is foldable for compact storage. The v500 and V600 series offer a joystick control system that can also be handheld. The control panel is very easy to use. It is instinctive thus very easy to get comfortable using.
