Concept

The Heli-Carrier transports helicopters from point to point. The carrier is built according to a unique "C" frame arrangement designed to knee down and crawl under the helicopter with minimal height in order to clear helicopter belly accessories. The main frame "legs" are tied together with a cross shaft clearing ground at 3" (7.5cm) from optimal compatibility to helicopter fixtures. It is also designed to be lifted to a high position, up to 6.75" (17 cm) to roll easily over uneven terrain and obstacles. A three point wheel ground contact ensures continuous traction when riding over uneven terrain. The Carrier is supported by five wheels: One at traction point and four at rear for helicopter support. Unit is operated from helicopter front. Attachment hooks are designed for connection to each helicopter model's own wheel pins. When wheel pins are not accessible a secure skid clamp is also available (see Universal attachment)
Power

Traction System: Hydraulic. Horizontal movement speed is controlled by a proportional slider switch mounted on control panel right hand grip. It is adjusted to provide smooth & precise acceleration/deceleration at movement start/finish. Speed control by slider proportional control switch. Lifting system: Hydraulic. Vertical movement is controlled by an On/Off switch mounted on left hand grip. Traction Motor: Hydraulic Wheel Motor: 600 lbs straight pull @ 3800 in/lbs torque. V1030, V1032 and V1040 models equipped with double capacity traction wheel motor Traction Wheel: Type: Deep set threads pneumatic tire / 65 psi operation. Wheel: 16.5"x6.5" (42 x 17cm) with 8" (20cm) hub. Hydraulic Pump: Gear type pump / Max. 4500lbs (2000kg) / 6 c.c. per Rev. High flow pump for faster speed. Drive Motor: Using only 4 hp of the 20 hp. / up to 10 kw capacity / 48volts / fan cooled continuous use 80% duty cycle motor. Batteries: 4x 12 volts Deep Cycle Batteries (size: Group 24 or Group 27) With Battery Charge Level indicator Group 27 batteries offer 15-20% more range than Group 24 batteries. Electrical System: 48v to Drive Motor / 12v valve driver / 24v to APU (option). Battery Charger: 115/230v / 10 amps. Safety Brake: Hydraulic safety brake keeps machine from free roll when not in function Oil Tank: Large Oil tank for 100% Duty Cycle as greater oil quantity helps maintain low temperature and thus lowers energy consumption Solenoid Indicators: Light indicators on valve solenoid connectors to facilitate trouble shooting Paint: Yellow Parts Powder Coated for more durability Autonomy: 2 hours non-stop / or 10 hangaring-cycles of 750' (230m)
